In which we read "Markets In The Name Of Socialism, The Left-Wing Origins Of Neoliberalism", by Johanna Bockman.
This book "reveals a dialogue among many economists on both sides of the Iron Curtain about democracy, socialism, and markets. These discussions led to the transformations of 1989 and, unintentionally, the rise of neoliberalism."

The level of naivety shown by not bothering to analyze the class character of the disproportionately powerful and wealthy bureaucrats steering the Yugoslav communist movement into IMF market ”socialism” and siding with international capital over existing socialist movements is very frustrating. Nor is there any mention of course of all the Yugoslav communists killed or sent to Goli in pursuit of this class collaborationist model that ended in the death of the Communist movement and Yugoslavia.

I appreciate you both covering a more obscure topic in this one. Learned a lot.
